Dash Point State Park

Vast Shoreline at Dash Point State Park with low tide

Location

5700 SW Dash Point Rd, Federal Way, WA 98023

Description

Dash Point State Park is a must-visit location for water-loving families with unobstructed views of the Puget Sound. Explore the 3K+ feet of shoreline to spot starfish and crabs, play in the sand, go for a swim, launch a boat or paddle board, try your hand at skim boarding, or just watch (it’s one of the best spots for all skill levels and competitions).

If you want to stay on land, enjoy 8 miles of mountain bike trails and 11 miles of hiking trails, have a picnic, do some bird watching, and view some wildlife.

Spend the night at the 461-acre camping park with 114 standard campsites, 27 utility campsites, one dump station, four restrooms and six showers.

Note to self

Discover Pass required. The park is equipped with automated pay stations for visitors to purchase a one-day or annual Discover Pass.

Very popular place for clam digging! Check out the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife website for more information related to shell fishing regulations. They have a nice PDF guide listing each park and when shell fishing is open.

Remember to buy a shell fishing license on their website if you go.
