2101 N Northlake Way, Seattle, WA 98103Â
On a sunny day, Gas Works Park attracts all ages who want to enjoy the view, fly a kite on the artificial hill, watch the boat traffic, walk the trails, or play at the playground (remodeled in 2018).
The playground features many webs to climb with almost every structure built with ropes – perfect for the adventurous kiddos. Even the smaller structure is built from rope, which means cautious tots may be a tad too hesitant to play on their own.
This historic landmark has become the best spot to watch the Fourth of July fireworks and enjoy views of the lake and city skyline. It holds a special place in Seattle’s history. Formerly Seattle Gas Light Company’s gasification plant, it contains remnants of the sole remaining coal gasification plant in the United States.
