Loyal Heights Playfield is a great neighborhood playground. A climber’s paradise, the playground structure features a tall tower leading to two slides plus a climbing net for kids to explore. The structure includes a fun bridge, smaller slide, and more ways to play. Close by is a toddler structure with a climbing ramp, stairs, and a small slide so the littlest ones can get in on the fun. A few steps away is a large swing set with the ever popular double swing and a sit-down merry-go-round.
Ball fields are on a turf that is soft for falls and easy running. The large field is surrounded by a nice path for walking or riding a bike.
Bathrooms are on the playfield level or in the Loyal Heights Community Center (when open).
Parking is free and located adjacent to the park and on the street.
A couple blocks away, stop for a fresh baked pastry or cookie at Larsen’s Bakery or cross the street to grab a cup of coffee at La Copa Cafe. Usually in the afternoon, there’s a food truck at Saleh’s for a bite or drink.
