A Universe of Play

The park’s redesign catapults visitors into a cosmic wonderland, featuring an array of play structures designed to ignite imaginations and encourage physical activity. Among the stars of the show are an accessible swing set that ensures fun for all abilities, and whimsically designed moon and Saturn climbing structures that challenge little explorers to reach new heights.

A standout feature is the space shuttle climbing gym, which provides a perfect backdrop for daring spacewalks and galactic adventures. For younger space travelers, a spaceship play structure offers a safe and engaging environment to crawl, climb, and command their own interstellar mission. While the slides may not offer the thrills sought by more adventurous space rangers, they add a smooth and fun descent back to Earth.

More Than Just a Playground

The North Kirkland Community Center Park extends beyond the playground to offer amenities that cater to a wide range of interests and needs. The on-site parking lot ensures easy access for families, while open spaces invite picnics and leisurely afternoons under the sun. Sports enthusiasts can enjoy the basketball court, while families looking to dine al fresco will find picnic tables, barbeque grills, and ash bins readily available.

Conveniently located across the street from the North Kirkland Community Center, the park also features all-gender restrooms with two stalls, providing comfort and convenience for all visitors. Shady play areas offer a respite from the summer heat, making the park a comfortable destination for extended playdates.

The park’s design thoughtfully incorporates nature, with numerous trees surrounding the playground area, creating a serene and picturesque setting. Additionally, the inclusion of a “mommy/daddy-and-me” swing ensures that even the youngest visitors can join in the fun, making it a truly inclusive space for family bonding.
