Train-loving kids (and scenic view loving adult), will enjoy a relaxing ride in a historic train and experience the working railroad excitement! Keep an eye out for the Thomas the Train event for a fun-filled day at the railroad with activities for all ages (Once a year during July).

Snoqualmie Depot & Depot Bookstore Hours: 10am – 5pm, daily. Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year Day.

Note to Self

  • They offer train rides that go down to Snoqualmie Falls from the North Bend depot on the weekends (April to December). A Thomas the Train and a Christmas Train also run at set times of the year.
  • Buy your tickets early for the Day Out with Thomas, as this special event always sells out early.
  • Day Out with Thomas takes about two hours. Recommend leaving your stroller in the car, or they will ask you to leave it by the front when boarding the train.
  • When you’re leaving the Railway History campus on the train ride to Snoqualmie Falls (where the activities are located), don’t sit in the first few train cars (close to Thomas’s end) because you will not have a view of the canyon when you past the falls. Also sit on the side closest to the platform to be able to see the waterfall and canyon from your window.
