Surrey Downs Park is hard to find and worth the hunt! The park features a large lawn surrounded by a pedestrian path, playground, basketball court, picnic shelters, a restroom, and parking all set along a picturesque view of Mount Rainier.

The playground features an exhilarating large play structure for big kids and risk takers plus a smaller version for toddlers.

There’s slides of all sizes, a long zip line, a set of swings, rope climbing structures, elevator, and more!

Note to self

Wide sidewalks for kids to ride bikes and scooters.
Two play areas – one for toddlers and one for bigger kids. The elevator ride was our favorite!
Warning: the GPS doesn’t take you to the right place, follow the signs instead (We updated the coordinates if you click this listing’s map).
There is a great view of Mount Rainier from this park.
Bring bug spray in the summer (mosquitoes).
Nice spot for a picnic on the grass or tables.
